Spartan Race 2011!!
What is the Spartan Race you ask?? Well it is a CrossFitters paradise loaded with a super fun, super muddy, and super tough course which includes some really cool natural features like an entire section of boulders (aka ankle eaters) that you will be traversing off-camber and along the contour line. It also has fire, water, gladiators, tire carries, barbed wire, mud, free beer and you name it!!! Oh yeah did you get that part about the free beer…sounds like a party!!!
Here are the details…
When: June 4th, 2011
All parking will be at:
460 Route 17A West, Tuxedo NY 10987
$5.00 per car parking fee
Distance: Right around 3 miles, fastest time should be around 30 minutes.
Start Times: Heats start at 9am with up to 250 racers and continue every 30 minutes throughout the day. There is a 9am “Elite” heat if you want to be as competitive as possible and race against the best.
Aid Stations: None… hydrate before or carry your own water on the course.
All Racers Receive:
– Finishers Medal
– Free Beer
– Free Mud
– Tired legs from climbing up and down the mountain- Bragging Rights

“The Horrible Hundred”
Complete the following for time:
25 Deadlifts (215#/173#)
25 Clean and jerks (125#/83#)
25 Thrusters (75#/53#)
25 Overhead squats (45#/33#)
Men will load the 45# bar in the following order: 15# then 25# then 45#. Women will load the 33# bar in the following order: 10# then 15# then 45#. Strip a set of plates off after each movement is completed.
