Today our very own Ray Traitz will be traveling up to Reebok/CrossFit One in Canton, MA to compete over 3 days with the very best the Northeast has to offer for the last 3 spots left and a trip to the 2011 CrossFit Games on July 29-31 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA!

Not only is Ray a top notch athlete (9th in our region & 33rd worldwide)….ah heck….I will just say it….he is an f-in BEAST! But, he is also a loving husband (to Coach Suz), amazing father, and dedicated coach! Not only that…he is the only one crazy enough try anything, and I mean ANYTHING, I can throw his way during the Competitors WOD to test stuff out. In fact…Ray, from now on, I’m calling you AREA 51!

How he finds the time to fit it all in, I will never know. What I do know is that just being around Ray makes you wanna do GREAT things and we are lucky to have him as part of our family!! Please join me in wishing Ray GOOD LUCK this weekend!

We’re behind you brother…..every WOD, every day…..GET IT DONE!!!!!!

Schedule Update:

  1. Congratulations to the Traitz family! Impressive stats! Your a winner in my book. Your success in fitness while maintaing a harmonious balance with family and work speaks tremendously about your character. Your focus, determination, and discipline is quite admirable. Without discipline you would not know what to do with luck. You got this! All the best!

  2. I'd wish you luck, but I know you won't need it for this one because of how hard you've trained! You're gonna get one of those last 3 spots Ray cause you are a Superstar!

  3. This is your year! Nobody has worked harder then you. You will get one of thoose slots. I will be rooting for you! You inspire many of us at the box!

  4. WOW!!! So beautifully written Rob. You truly capture Ray's intrinsic spirit which is what attracted me to him in the first place. Oh, and his HUGE RIPPED quads glistening in the sun while he chilled on 16th street in Belmar helped a bit too, lol! Anyone who truly knows the Jersey Shore the way we [coughing] shamefully do, HA, knows the significance of 16th street in Belmar. No, all kidding asside, you truly captured him and there is little I can add to what you so articulately wrote. Thank you for all your continuous love and support. Drew and I will keep in touch and update the box regularly on Ray's standing =) I too in my heart of hearts feel and believe this year is HIS year, let's pray all of us together, YAAAAAAAAY!!!

@ My girl Pat Benetar 😉 Thanks for te love, xo!!!

@ Kathleen, poetically written! Thank you for appreciating my other half =) He is truly great! When he's sleeping, HA!!!

@ Johnny T, NO PEEPING, LOL!!! Thanks Brotha! You've quickly owned a palce in the Traitz' family's hearts, XO!!!

@ Armando, what can I say, YOU ROCK!!! It's a blessing to train with you most mornings =) You ROCKED it today!!! Did someone say FIFTY toes-to-bar, XXXX NOT, LOL!!! Thanks for the love and support!!!

    Happy weekend everyone!!!

Don't miss me too much 😉 Oh, and Coach Drew…

  5. Rob, exceptionally well written. Ray is a beast and inspires others around him to greatness. I cant begin to express enough for what he has done to help me heal from injury and have a new found love and appreciation for my body, spirit and sport. I am so fortunate to be able to go and witness him garner one of the spots for the Games. That is how sure I am that he IS going!

  6. Ray….you are an absolute monster! We are all behind you rooting you on towards Cali! You've trained so hard and you've been preparing for this moment for a while now. You WILL do this!!! I know we all wish we could be there with you! Best of luck dude.
