This past weekend weekend a small crew of us were able to make the trip up to the Reebox Head Quarters in Canton, MA for the 2012 CrossFit North East Regional Competition and support Coach Drew. I think can speak for everyone in attendance when I say that it was a totally EPIC experience….
CrossFit Rockland had many friends fortunate enough to make the cut and compete in the NE Regionals like Chris Guerrero from CrossFit Westchester, Jason Schroeder from Brazen Athletics, Kaleena Ladeairous from CrossFit Port Chester, Monica Lopez from CrossFit 203, and of course Drew’s training partner Ray Traitz from AMRAP Fitness! Watching these folks compete amongst the likes of Spencer Hendel & Austin Malleolo from Reebox CrossFit One was an experience words cannot even begin to describe.
Simply put, Reebox has truly embraced the CrossFit culture and put on one HECK of an amazing event! From the sponsors, the venue, to “Tent City”…..everything was top notch and provided for an amazing time! The WODs were UNREAL and truly showed what BEASTS these competitors are (Click HERE for the WODs).
It was obvious watching the competition that Coach Drew showed up to THROWDOWN!!! Unofficially, I think Drew was probably the lightest competitor in the field, but he impressed EVERYONE with ALL of his performances. WOD after WOD Drew came and conquered 3 gruelling days of competition and finished the event in 35th PLACE which was nearly half way up the pack!!!
Coach Drew has shown us ALL that with hard work and dedication….ANYTHING is possible! He is not only our coach, mentor, and friend, but an inspiration to everyone at CrossFit Rockland! Pictures of the event will be posted on the CrossFit Rockland FaceBook page within the next few days or so be sure to checkem out!
2013 got NOTHING on you brother…..GO DREW!!!!!
